Common questions.
Which stainless steel grade should I buy, 304 or 316?
Choose 304 for general fabrication, commercial kitchens, food-service equipment and many dry indoor applications. Choose 316 or 316L where salt air, chlorides, strong cleaning chemicals or welded process pipework are involved. See our 304 vs 316L guide.
How can I tell if a stainless steel sheet is really 304?
You cannot tell by looking, and a magnet is not reliable. Ask for the grade on the invoice, check the certificate and heat number, and have the chemistry tested when it matters. Genuine 304 carries 8 to 10.5% nickel. See 301 vs 304 and 201 vs 304.
Do you supply lead-free brass and copper?
Yes. We supply copper and lead-free brass, along with stainless steel and aluminium. Tell us the application and we will advise on the right material.

What is the difference between prime and secondary sheets?
Prime sheet is first-quality mill product to the ordered grade and thickness. Secondary is declassified material. We supply prime and bill it as prime. Read the full comparison.

দুটি শিট দেখতে একই হলেও আচরণে একেবারে আলাদা হতে পারে। আমরা যে গ্রেড সরবরাহ করি সেটিই বিল করি, তাই আপনার কারখানায় সেই ধাতুই থাকে যা আপনি চেয়েছিলেন।
উচ্চ গ্রেডের নামে নিম্ন গ্রেড দিলে তা সময়ের আগেই মরিচা ধরতে, দাগ পড়তে বা দূষণ ঘটাতে পারে। এর খরচ আপনার ঘাড়েই পড়ে: বন্ধ লাইন, বাতিল ব্যাচ ও পুনরায় কেনা মালামাল।

304 নাকি 316 গ্রেড কিনব?
সাধারণ ফ্যাব্রিকেশন, বাণিজ্যিক রান্নাঘর, খাদ্য পরিবেশন সরঞ্জাম ও শুষ্ক অভ্যন্তরীণ ব্যবহারের অনেক ক্ষেত্রে 304 বেছে নিন। যেখানে লবণাক্ত বাতাস, ক্লোরাইড, কড়া পরিষ্কারক রাসায়নিক বা ওয়েল্ডেড প্রসেস পাইপ আছে, সেখানে 316 বা 316L নিন। বিস্তারিত: 304 vs 316L গাইড (ইংরেজিতে)।
শিট আসলেই 304 কি না বুঝব কীভাবে?
দেখে বোঝা যায় না, আর চুম্বকও নির্ভরযোগ্য পরীক্ষা নয়। চালানে গ্রেড লিখিয়ে নিন, সার্টিফিকেট ও হিট নম্বর দেখুন, আর কাজ গুরুত্বপূর্ণ হলে রাসায়নিক গঠন পরীক্ষা করান। আসল 304-এ ৮ থেকে ১০.৫ শতাংশ নিকেল থাকে।
সিসামুক্ত পিতল ও তামা কি সরবরাহ করেন?
